About the panelists:
Professor Blake Wentworth is an Assistant Professor in the Department of South & Southeast Asian Studies at UC Berkeley. He concentrates on Tamil literature and its role in the cultural and religious history of South Asia.
Professor Vasudha Paramasivan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of South & Southeast Asian Studies. Her research focuses on early modern and modern literary cultures of North India. Her current research is centered on the Ramcaritmanas of Tulsidas. She is interested in the enormous impact that the Ramcaritmanas exerted on the modern Hindi poetical imagination.
Dr. Raman Khanna is a hospitalist and assistant professor of clinical medicine at UCSF. Additionally, he is a member of the Executive Council of the Hindu American Foundation. Dr. Khanna studied religion as an undergraduate at Northwestern University, where he also completed his medical degree and residency training.
